Thank you for visiting my website. Voting for someone involves many factors and one of them should always be job performance. I’m proud of the job I have done over the last eight years representing residents of the 8th district.

I would be honored to serve another four years and I’m asking for your vote.

We may not always agree, but I have prided myself on always listening to constituents and making the best possible decision for the people I
represent and the state I love.

I have tried to be the type of leader that West Virginians can be proud of and someone who is not afraid to speak my mind. The Charleston Daily Mail summed it up best in 2010:

“Sen. Wells, who’s running for reelection in the 8th District, neither panders nor backs down.”

In the Senate, I chair the Committee on the Military where my experience as a navy reservist has helped me better understand how state government can help our returning veterans. While I’m proud of my service in the legislature, I’m most proud of my time in the U.S. Navy where I continue to serve as a public affairs officer.

As the Vice Chairman of the Committee on Education, I have been directly involved in the education reform efforts that are improving our schools.

Since 2004, I have owned and operated Wells Media Group LLC, a public relations and video production company. I understand the struggles,
challenges and opportunities that exist for our small businesses in our state.

I understand, as others have pointed out in the past, the important role  small businesses play in our economy:

“Strengthening the state’s economy is the primary issue on the minds of West Virginians. Community leaders like Erik Wells are working to improve our business climate in order to help sustain our state’s economic growth and provide for new expansion.”
– Steve Roberts, President of the WV Chamber of Commerce

Again, thank you for visiting my website and remember: “We can’t build West Virginia up by tearing West Virginians down.”

All the best,
